The Ebb Roll Pendant Light from David Trubridge is a mesmerizing accent piece inspired by the beauty of nature. Created with sustainability and longevity in mind, this pendant is crafted from natural birch plywood sourced from famous Finnish firm Koskisen. Its swirling aesthetic gives the piece the illusion of movement and is reminiscent of water while its luminous, incandescent light offers the room an encompassing glow as it slips through each wooden panel.
After sailing the Pacific with his family for several years, David Trubridge landed in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, in 1985 and stayed, beginning to design lighting in 2004. Inspired by the natural and cultural environment there, his airy, contemporary designs are constructed from sustainable wood, nontoxic oils and recyclable plastics. David Trubridge's environmentally responsible designs, like his Coral pendant, were an instigator of the international "raw sophistication" trend.
