A prolific industrial, interior and architectural designer, Greta Grossman started her design career after completing a fellowship at the renowned Stockholm art institution, Konstfack, in 1933. She opened a studio shortly thereafter and produced designs that would be exhibited at various museums worldwide, including the MoMA in New York and The National Museum in Stockholm. Emigrating to Los Angeles with her husband, jazz player Billy Grossman, she became a pioneer of midcentury modernism in California as well.
