Invisible PF/3L LED Pendant Light

Inspired by the dynamic compositions of Alexander Calder’s mobile sculptures, Francesco Vilaro seeks to break down the idea of the traditional lamp with the synthesized and artfully arranged Invisible PF/3L LED Pendant Light from Bover. Form, dynamism, and balance are elements Vilaro takes from Calder’s work. These elements speak to Vilaro as they underline his desire to create pieces that are iconic, impactful from one era to the other. Vilaro makes masterful use of positive and negative space by refining the suspension, counterweights, and lighting system to distinct lines and shapes. Like a mobile, the piece is a study on movement, with each arm offering rotations and angle adjustability supported by the counterweight. Its lamp head follows this sentiment with adjustability directed by a sleek handle. As the ‘invisible’ element of the piece, LED modules behind the diffuser lens shines through to produce a spacious glow, leaving behind a bold silhouette.
