The Italo Ventania Fan from Matthews Fans is a large, stylish, and modern ceiling fixture. Its vortex sculpted arms also grasp remarkable, side-mounted blades in gentle, equatorial rotation. The motor heads can be infinitely positioned in 180-degree arcs for optimum air movement; the greater the angle of the motor to the horizontal support rods (up or down), the faster the axial rotation. A slow, controlled axial rotational is achieved by both motor head position and fan blade speed. Fan bodies are made at individual work stations, not mass produced on assembly lines, and each fan is hand assembled by one person. The ceiling canopy can only be installed on flat ceilings. A white Lutron decora-style SFS-5E variable wall switch comes with the fan for smooth operation.
