The Kerflights Drum Pendant Light by Graypants was inspired by tried and true handcrafting techniques and is precision built to bring a dynamic look to spaces. A durable, powder-coated steel frame creates the foundation for FSC-certified, high-quality plywood to be placed around. With a unique kerf pattern cut into the panels, the shade of this piece has a flexible, fun look that allows light to playfully escape throughout its form.
Architectural duo Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker established Graypants, an environmentally-responsible lighting house, in 2007. With home bases in Seattle and Amsterdam, the responsible and eco-chic design house created their first line of pendant lights out of repurposed corrugated cardboard, aptly titled 'scraplights.' While still focusing on recycled pendant lights, the pair continues to expand their design portfolio with various architectural installations and public artworks.
