Fits a unique space profile
There are only about 30-60 types of fixtures like this to accent a wall. This one is unique in its space profile, in that it sticks straight out from the wall, isn't very tall, and is available in a brushed nickel/stainless color. You don't need an electrical box because the metal mounting bracket + the rear plate come together in such a manner to form a metal box. The box is fairly shallow--one of mine has wires going to a second one of these and it's a very tight fit. The shade is adjustable as to the angle that shines on the wall, but depending on how you use your space and your sensitivity to the bulb, you might find it too limiting. I bought the fluorescent version and found a nice color temperature bulb made by Sylvania. I have two of these illuminating a built-in bookcase in my office. Because of the tight space requirements, I bit the bullet on the price--but I'd do it again. These are very nice and fairly heavy -- a bit over 2.5 lbs.
