The arm is made from a single piece of extruded aluminum, the cord is concealed and only visible once it exits from the bottom of the arm. Detachable plug adapter ends with transformer/driver. gorgeous design, but functionally challenged
It looks terrific, but it's difficult to find a use for it where you aren't either bumping into it with your head or blinded by it. Also, the magnets are a genius idea, but they're so strong that with repeated repositioning, the plastic plate that keeps the magnets in place breaks off, leaving the magnets firmly stuck to the base. After that, no more repositioning of the light unless you want to wrestle with those magnets every time. I tried supergluing them to the lamp, taping them (not pretty)...nothing is strong enough to hold them to the lamp once they're stuck to something else.

Another great marriage of form and function
The LIM light manages to remain captivating without intruding. Its simple lines provide a rigorous elegance with a very simple, magnet-based flexibility. I use it to work by at all times of the day and it provides great light. The LIM design is so precise that I must now ensure that the rest of my design choices live up to its standards.
