Key Features
Craft your interiors with a touch of the sculptural when you install the Marx Wall Sconce by Martinelli Luce. A daring 1928 design by Richard Neutra, it’s made in Italy and looks like a fixture fashioned yesterday. A wide strip of stainless-steel arcs outward from a small square wall mount, holding a rectangular wooden frame left open at the bottom that drops to a similarly-shaped metal arrangement holding an integrated LED upthrust in a cylindrical steel housing. The lamping is energy-efficient and perfectly positioned to reflect off the large metal band, offering a softer ambiance throughout the sconce’s surroundings.
For more than five decades, Martinelli Luce has offered artistic lamps and pendant lights inspired by nature and the simplicity of geometric shapes. The brand is most known for its now-famous, bat-inspired Pipistrello table lamp, which was first introduced in 1965. Free-flowing curves, sharp angles and wave-like motions are all common features within Martinelli Luce’s collections, lending each piece a minimalist yet artistic feel.
