Designed by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjรฆr in 1976, the Nyhavn Outdoor Wall Sconce from Louis Poulsen is a streamlined alternative to bulky and overly ornate products. At that time of its design, Nyhavn was more discreet and had a smaller size than most other wall fixtures. It features a conical shade, the interior of which is painted matte white for even light distribution, that allows a wide beam of light to be directed downwards. Three anti-glare rings at the top of the shade allow the top side of the shade to remain illuminated. Both practical and decorative, this modern wall sconce can be used both indoors and outdoors.
