Light and natural in its initial appearance, the all-steel Pili LED Table Lamp from Arturo Alvarez is an artfully arranged contradiction as abstract in conception as its designer Alvarez is in artistic philosophy. Made in Spain, it starts with a series of slender stainless-steel rods that extend upwards into a roughly-intersecting assembly. This airy base then balances a puff of compacted stainless-steel wire around an integrated LED powered by a cord and socket switch that illuminates the naturally-arrayed wire in a gentle glow.
Started in 1994 as “a by arturo alvarez,” the company was rebranded as “a-emotional light” in 2020. Led by CEO Marco Rioseco and Sales Manager Miguel Martínez, a-emotional light produces products with one goal: to make people feel. Based in Galicia in Northwestern Spain, nature is found in each design by a-emotional light. Each product features a unique design and irregular shape inspired by the comforting and astonishing landscape of Galicia.
