The Pod is in contrast to Burkhard Dammer's other LZF designs with concise, formal techno tendencies. Pod features a geometric natural enclave where the ordered repetition of form generates a slow rhythmic sinuous plasticity, reinforced by light subtly coming through their wood strips and escaping between their grooves. The shape is reminiscent of a fruit, a seed or a...pod. Suspension light for diffused and direct ambient illumination. The light is diffused thru the central acrylic diffuser and the natural wood veneer strips. Pod is suspended from a brushed nickel canopy by three support cables. Available in choice of several colors. LZF's wood veneers are selected to reveal the best natural wood grain effects when illuminated and all have been sourced from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council - FSC. Nothing comes close to the beauty of these veneers as a diffusion material and no other veneer treatment gives the strength and the protection to the material without sacrificing the delicacy and subtleness that this natural material communicates when illuminated.
