The Poitou Chandelier by Currey & Company expands its environs with bold simplicity. A smooth ceiling mount dispatches a fine chain down to a short rod, using a square finial set canted on a corner to suspend a flat-sided downrod that anchors two tiers of lamping. While both tiers incorporate sleek-surfaced wrought iron arms, each one ending in a horizontal cross shape with a small lamp set on its upper arm. A bowl shade of milk glass blooms around each lamp, muting each bright lamp to a gentler glow.
