The Siro LED Table Lamp by Oluce delivers understated luxury and fantastic functionality in a simple, stylish package. A 2019 design by the talented Marta Perla, it uses a concealed angular stand to hold a large, shallow bowl shade horizontally, facing outward. Light is provided by an integrated LED that reflects off of the bowl’s interior, with direct glare shaded by a smaller disc set at the bottom of the bowl, closest to the surface it rests on, creating more natural light while illustrating a shadowed eclipse.
Master designer Giuseppe Ostuni founded Italy-based lighting brand Oluce in 1945. Now the oldest Italian design company still in existence and actively producing today, many of Oluce's domed lights are now on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Ostuni's award-winning and dramatically arced floor lamps, domed table lamps and pendants, glass scones, and uniquely-shaped outdoor lighting have influenced the lighting and design industry for decades and will continue to do so for generations to come.
