Architectural light
This fixture gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility in positioning the light where you want it, without moving the ceiling J-box. This alone makes the off-center Tolomeo worth the investment. However, you do need to tinker with the suspension mechanism (not easy to install), and tighten the knobs to high hell in order to secure the fixture in the desired position.

Great Product!
I purchased the Tolomeo Off-Center Suspension Light because the electrical box in my dining room is off-center from my table. The concrete ceilings would have made moving the box both expensive and messy, so when I found this light I thought it was the perfect solution. The fixture is very high quality, as you'd expect from Tolomeo, and it looks fantastic installed - even better than I hoped for. One feature I wasn't aware of is that the fixture rotates almost 360 degrees from the ceiling mount, so not only can it be adjusted from the flexible arms but it can be moved in almost a full circle. In my case, that makes it a perfect light over my buffet when I want to move it away from the table. YLighting is great, no issues at all with the order and very good pricing compared to other vendors.

Classic. Functional. Stylish.
I needed light over my dining table and over a coffee table. However, unfortunately, I do have junction boxes directly over the two locations. The Tolomoeo Off Center Ceiling Light provided the ideal solution. The fixture is designed to give me that flexibility. I purchased the parchment shade and installed a 75W bulb (100W max). The fixture with that combination of shade and bulb wattage produces filtered light for the entire room and adequately highlights my dining table and the coffee table in my bedroom. (think of the light produced by a Noguchi paper lamp). Installing the light to the ceiling is a very tricky process especially if you have high ceilings (once you attach the wires, there is very little space between the ceiling and base of the lamp; also requires very precise alignment of screws which is difficult to see given the narrow space between the base and ceiling). I recommend hiring an experienced electrician. Will require tow persons to install. Wire cables which are part of the arm mechanism are simple to install. Great light. Expectations were exceeded.
