The Twin Wall / Ceiling Light by SkLO is an elegant yet playful piece from designers Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak. Drawn to the enduring craft of handblown Czech glass, the designers created a set of stacked glass spheres with a flattened side held against a solid brass backplate. The separated glass spheres are melded together while hot to form its unique shape, with subtle imperfections lending the piece an organic quality while its double tone glass brings a modern flair.
Developed in collaboration between Pavel Hanousek and husband and wife duo Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak, the glassblowing company SkLO was founded in the Czech Republic. SkLO, the Czech word for glass, draws inspiration from clean architectural lines and simple forms, Their unique pendants and chandeliers are crafted by glass masters in the Czech Republic and fuse the age-old tradition with modern functionality.
