The Foundations of Corbett Lighting
Originally founded in the mid-60s, Corbett Lighting was established as a brand focused on creating artistic, thoughtfully-designed lighting fixtures inspired by the founder’s European travels from the highest quality materials. In the early 2000s, Corbett Lighting was acquired by Hudson Valley Lighting Group, pairing Corbett with other luxury brands similarly focused on craftsmanship and detailed design. Relaunched in 2005, Corbett Lighting’s headquarters moved to the City of Industry, CA and production was moved to the Philippines.
The Aesthetics of Corbett Lighting
Built for elegance that goes deeper than the surface, Corbett Lighting commits to the highest standards of design. Pairing rich, high-quality materials with hand-applied finishes and expert craftsmanship, Corbett delivers truly striking statement pieces that need to be seen to be believed. With elements such as bias-cut crystal and handmade Japanese paper, the fixtures exhibit a combination of grace and intrigue.
Without sacrificing utility, Corbett Lighting products straddle the line between works of art and working lights. Intricate metalwork creates elegance within the supporting frames, detailing beauty throughout every light. After construction, hand-applied finishes give each fixture the perfect look of luxury.
Corbett Lighting uses materials with stand-alone beauty and grace. Forging pieces with artistic qualities that go beyond the light, their designs become the center of attention in any space.
Corbett Lighting Standouts
A collection with no shortage of exceptional pieces, the best Corbett fixtures astound with their artistry. The Calligraphy LED Wall Sconce features delicate twists of carefully sculpted metal around central bulbs, presenting a beautiful representation of decorative handwriting. With a subtle, airy quality, this Corbett wall light appears to be in motion as the metal reflects and accentuates the passing glow.
The Melrose Pendant shows a different side of Corbett Lighting’s sophistication. The result of a collaborative effort with award-winning interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, this piece draws inspiration from colors and designs found in old Parisian cafés. Excellent symmetry and balance between the brass frame and glass diffuser turn this understated pendant into a striking overhead light.
In its mission to deliver the most exciting and extraordinary fixtures, Corbett Lighting leaves nothing to chance. Only the finest materials and boldest designs make the showroom floor, with exterior beauty always paired with matching integrity.
